‘Ivanovic is literally thievingfrom this club. Absolute world-class fraud’ – Chelsea fans urgeAntonio Conte to sell BranislavIvanovic

Chelsea lost their first pre-season friendly 2-0, being

beaten by Austrian side Rapid Vienna.

It was far from the perfect start for Antonio Conte,

although little should be read into the result seeing as the

majority of the team selected are not first-team players.

However, there were key figures starting, such as John Terry,

Diego Costa and Branislav Ivanovic .

But judging by comments from Blues supporters, Ivanovic

should not be a first-team player – or a Chelsea player at

all!

He struggled against Rapid, showing the poor form which

characterised his 2015/16 season, and the majority of fans

want him sold before the start of the coming campaign.

Clasico dates set!

Barcelona and Real Madrid will face one another in the

first Clasico of 2016-17 at the Nou Camp in early

December, with the return LaLiga fixture to be played at

the Bernabeu in late April.

The fixtures for the new campaign were announced on

Friday, with Spain’s big two likely to fight it out again

for the title along with Atletico Madrid.

Reigning champions Barca face Real Betis at home on the

opening weekend of the season on August 20-21.

Meanwhile, last season’s runners-up Real Madrid are

away to Real Sociedad in the first round of matches.

The 2015-16 top two are subsequently scheduled to go

head-to-head at the Nou Camp on December 3 or 4, with

the reverse fixture then taking place on April 23 in the

33rd matchday out of 38.

The final round of games, pencilled in for May 21, will

see Barcelona host Eibar and Real Madrid play at

Malaga.

Luis Enrique’s Barca are looking to claim a third straight

LaLiga title, while reigning European champions Real are

aiming to claim the trophy for the first time since

2011-12.

Kante completes Chelsea medicals

N’GOLO KANTE has reportedly completed his Chelsea

medical ahead of his mega-money Premier League

switch.

The France international is set to move from Leicester

to Stamford Bridge in one of the summer’s biggest

transfers.

The Guardian reported this morning that the 25-year-

old is poised to make a £29.2m move, with add-ons, to

west London.
They claimed Kante has told Leicester he wants to leave

and that new Blues boss Antonio Conte has already

been in touch with the midfielder welcoming him to the

club.

Now Sky Sports say the midfielder has completed his

medical at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham.

Reporter Jim White tweeted: “Can confirm Kante

medical completed in West London. Paperwork for £30m

move to Chelsea to be done at Cobham tonight.”

Leicester signed Kante from Caen last summer for just

£5.5m and are set to make a huge profit on the Euro

2016 ace.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri yesterday addressed the

future of his star man.

Ranieri said: “We offered a new contract to him, he

went away because he wanted to finish Euro 2016, and

now there is so much speculation around him.

“I don’t want to lose him but I can understand if he

wants to go.

“I would like know to be sure who stays with me or not,

because the friendly matches start now and I have to

start to manage and change and try things.”

Chelsea and Arsenal back in for Roma defenderManolas

Chelsea and Arsenal could be back in the hunt for Kostas

Manolas, according to reports.

Italian publication Gazzetta World suggests that Roma ‘s

impending loan deal for Inter Milan’s Juan Jesus could

see them offload Manolas this summer.

Brazilian defender Jesus is set to join for the 2016/17,

with the view to a permanent deal, which has the

Giallorossi preparing for the possibility of a Manolas sale.

News that talks between the Roma n club and the Greek

international have stalled have both the Blues and

Gunners monitoring the situation, despite the fact 25-

year-old Manolas is contracted at the Stadio Olimpico

until 2019.

Subotic in Middlesbrough talks

Middlesbrough are closing on a deal for Borussia

Dortmund defender Neven Subotic .

German sources say Boro have had a €6 million bid for the

Serb accepted by BVB.

Subotic had also been linked with Liverpool , Arsenal and

Sunderland in recent days.

The 27 year-old was permitted by BVB to leave preseason

training and fly to Teesside last night. Subotic is expected

to hold talks with Boro this morning.

“The signs are clear that he will leave. I really expect him

not to come back,” conceded BVB coach Thomas Tuchel.

Willian signs new deal

The Brazil international, who had two years remaining on his current deal, scored 13 goals in 59 games for the Blues last season.

Willian, 27, joined from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkalafor a reported £30m in 2013.

“It’s a dream to continue with this club and over the next four years I will try to help the team win more trophies,” he said.

Willian, who has scored 19 goals in 140 matches for Chelsea, was named player of the year last season as the club finished 10th in the Premier League.

He has won 30 caps for Brazil since making his debut in 2011, scoring six goals.

Last week, Chelsea signed Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille for a fee believed to be worth £33m, their first capture under new manager Antonio Conte.
